Belinda Jones is born in Vermont d/o Eliakim Jones - it seems probable that her family is the Eliakim Jones found on the 1810 census of Guilford, Windham Co. Vermont 1001-1011 and if so her mother should be Elizabeth Chase as Eliakim Jones married Elizabeth Chase 15 May 1792 at Guilford, Windham Co. VT

1810 Census Genesee Co. New York - Caledonia Twp. (which may have cut to Livingston County when it was formed the next year but would still have bordered Genesee Co.)

OH & later Hamilton Co. IN and Solomon will be Belinda Jones Babcock's 2nd husband.) This would indicate that wife (Elizabeth Chase Jones?) had died already - perhaps even in Vermont or shortly after migrating?	the only Babcocks in the county are Isaiah Babcock in Batvia Twp. Newman Babcock in Murry Twp. and by 1820 many Babcocks have arrived: Asa is in Elba Twp. Asaph, Newman (2 of them) & Benjamin are in Sweden Twp. Augustus in at Bethany Twp. Benjamin P. is at Bergen Twp. Daniel is in Batavia Twp. John is at Leicester Twp. John is at Barre Twp. Thomas is at Warsaw Twp. One of these might well be John Ira's father.
